Upcoming Plant Workshops in Stevens Point in June and July

The University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point is hosting three plant workshops this June and July:

  • Plants for Pollinators
    June 28, 2019
    In this hands-on workshop you will learn what attracts bees and other pollinators, how to alter your garden to attract more pollinators, and how to identify plants and plant characteristics important to pollinators. Plus, you will learn how to identify the 13 most common bees of Wisconsin!

  • Wetland Plants Identification and Sampling Workshop
    July 11-12, 2019
    This workshop is designed to provide the advanced skills and experience necessary to properly identify and sample wetland plants. The workshop will focus on identifying wetland, and some aquatic, species of the Upper Midwest in both lab and field settings.

  • Prairie Plants Identification and Sampling Workshop
    July 25-26, 2019
    This workshop is designed to provide the advanced skills and experience necessary to properly identify and sample prairie plants. The workshop will focus on identifying common prairie plants of the Midwest in both lab and field settings. Plant anatomy, dichotomous key use, and proper sampling techniques will be covered.
