Wisconsin Land + Water is planning a four-week Groundwater Webinar Series!
Thursday, October 4: Wisconsin's Groundwater: Basic concepts and information resources
Ken Bradbury from Wisconsin Geological & Natural History Survey (WGNHS) will describe basic concepts relating the groundwater flow, groundwater quantity, and groundwater quality in Wisconsin. He will also discuss the types of information available about Wisconsin’s groundwater, including maps, reports, and data sources, how to find them, and where to go for more detail.
Thursday, October 11: Human Health Effects of Nitrate in Drinking Water
Featuring Sarah Yang of the Wisconsin Division of Public Health
Thursday, October 18: Public wells and accessing well data through DNR databases
Featuring Beth Finzer of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
Thursday, October 25: Understanding groundwater quality through a private well monitoring program
Featuring Kevin Masarik of University of Wisconsin Stevens Point's Center for Watershed Science
