Advanced Farmstead Training October 7th in Medford and Athens

Wisconsin Land + Water is hosting an Advanced Farmstead Training on Monday, October 7th from 9:30 am - 3:00 pm in Medford and Athens. This course is for planners and technicians and will run through the tools used to determine resource concerns in a farmstead setting. The goal is to help planners and technicians work together when identifying resource concerns. We will visit one farm and evaluate resource concerns and discuss alternatives and another farm that has applied several practices. Check out the attached agenda for more information.

 There is no charge for this training and lunch will be provided.  4.5 Soil & Water CEUs and PDHs will be offered.

             Steps 3&4 – Identify & Analyze Resource Concerns using tools found in planning criteria
             Steps 5&6 – Formulate & Evaluate Alternatives based on resource concerns identified
12:30-1:30 – LUNCH (location TBD)
1:30-3:00 – Miltrim Heifer farm 112704 Township Road, Athens, WI 54411
             Step 9 – Evaluate conservation practices that have been implemented at the facility
