2018 SARE Scholarships for Professional Development in Sustainable Agriculture

By CPTPComm | 1:24 PM, 12/07/2017

The conference and workshop season is upon us, and once again the Wisconsin SARE Program will offer scholarships to agricultural educators for professional development in sustainable agriculture.

Below is a list of conferences in the next few months for which SARE scholarships are offered. If you want to attend a professional development event that will deepen your expertise in sustainable agriculture and that is not listed here, you can still apply for a scholarship. Please apply at least 3 weeks before the registration deadline.

To apply for a SARE scholarship fill out the application form and send it to dbmayerfeld@wisc.edu . Please note that in most cases these scholarships are only for agricultural educators. By all means let farmers know about these excellent conferences and workshops, but SARE funding is specifically designed for educators. (Farmers who have a strong plan to provide outreach can be considered as educators.)

Conferences and workshops:
Wisconsin School for Beginning Market Growers, January 12-14, 2018 in Madison. This intensive three-day course demonstrates what it takes to set up and run a successful market garden or small farm.
