Introduction to Soil Health - Field Experience - Omro, Wisconsin, 08/22/13

Course Description:

This field training builds on the principals in the introductory course. The day will be spent in the field, examining soil health from the root zone level. Students will have the opportunity to work with the soil health toolkit tools in a variety of farming systems (severely compacted headlands/field driveway, conventional farming, untilled area (CRP/fencerow), and examine the impact of cover crops and cultural systems on the physical, chemical and biological aspects of soil quality.

This training will be held at 5 locations around Wisconsin in August 2013. Dates and exact locations to be determined.

You must register for the Introduction to Soil Health - Classroom to take this course. The Classroom fee includes the costs for the field experience course.
