Course Description:

This one-day, on-farm course is designed to introduce agency staff and TSPs to the basics of organic production systems. It is an introductory level course sponsored jointly by CPTP and NWTC.

Objectives include exploring organic farming system;,uniqueness, both operationally and in terms of USDA programs; differences between organic and conventional management; the necessary steps to transition land from conventional into organic; the writing of an organic transition plan and the resources that are available for organic farmers.
