313 Et. al. "R" Standards

The waste management standard update meetings held around the state following the release in October and the first designs using the released standards pointed out a number of minor revisions and clarifications that were appropriate minor revisions. The NRCS National Technical Guide Committee is utilizing a date designation of "R" (e.g. 2017R) to a released standard where minor changes are made. The 313 Et. al. standards will have the designation of October 2017R and have been recently posted to the NRCS FOTG. The webinar will discuss these changes and answer questions users have. 1 PDH will be offered for live webinar.

Outagamie County Land Conservation Department staff will demonstrate how they work with satellite data and raster calculator indices to generate rasters (NDVI & NDTI) for use in determining conservation vegetation or residue on the field level at various times of the year. This webinar will discuss how to get the data, how to process it, verification, and ultimately field level statistics. Also demonstrated will be a new online tool for NDVI. 1 Soil and Water Management CEU may be offered for attending live webinar.
Concrete Construction Inspection Primer
for the 2018 Construction Season

This one hour webinar will cover the basics of Natural Resources Conservation Service Wisconsin Construction Specification #004 and WCS #004-WS. The webinar will focus on the approval of concrete mixes submitted by the supplier and concrete batch ticket requirements. The webinar will also review the new WCS #004-WS and discuss the new water stop specification. If time allows, we will also discuss concrete repair focusing on those issues typically found with water stop installation.

Professional Engineers registered in the state of Wisconsin are required by WI Chapter A-E 10, CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYORS to obtain 30 PDHs of professional engineering continuing education. Two PDHs must be in the area of professional conduct and ethics. This live webinar will fulfill one (1) PDH in the area of professional conduct and ethics per the NSPE Code of Ethics for Engineers Preamble: "Engineering is an important and learned profession. As members of this profession, engineers are expected to exhibit the highest standards of honesty and integrity. Engineering has a direct and vital impact on the quality of life for all people. Accordingly, the services provided by engineers require honesty, impartiality, fairness, and equity, and must be dedicated to the protection of the public health, safety, and welfare. Engineers must perform under a standard of professional behavior that requires adherence to the highest principles of ethical conduct."
