Conservation Planning: Engineering for Agronomists - Fond du Lac, WI, 11/20/08

Course Description:

CCAs and TSPs who are writing RMS Conservation Plans and CAPs will find this advanced-level course provides a firm foundation for understanding both the engineered and non-engineered practices that are sometimes included in a Conservation Plan. Students will learn about the various conservation practices that can be used to address a problem, and how to determine which one is best suited for a given situation. For example, can an erosion problem be best addressed by designing a waterway or installing a WASCOB, or through cultural practices, such as contour strips/contour farming and reduced tillage?
